Bronzed Resin Statue finished by hand in each particular detail. Saint Anthony of Padua, born in Lisbon, Portugal on 15 August 1195 and died on 13 June 1231, is the patron saint of lost objects. He is known throughout the world for the strength of his prayer, his knowledge in the field of writing and complete devotion to poor and sick people. He was proclaimed "doctor of the church" in 1946 and was a contemporary of Saint Francis of Assisi, whose friendship was the reason for his entry into the Franciscan order. His relics and his tomb are kept in the Pontifical Basilica in Padua. In the niche in front of the central arch of the Basilica there is a statue dedicated to him.
