She was the Roman adaptation of the Greek goddess of fortune, Tykhe. Other names of Fortuna were: Primigenia, Virilis, Respiciens, Muliebris, and Annonaria. She is usually portrayed standing, blindfolded, wearing a rich dress. Holding either the cornucopia, rudder, ball, or wheel of fortune.
